Inception is a very boring movie with no merit

I walked out on Inception at an iMax theater after the umpteenth gun battle. In the review I read about it, later, no one is talking about all the shootings and car crashes and plot jumps and bad music.
Yes the actors are great, yes the visual effects are fantastic, yes the idea of putting ideas into other people's minds is eerie -- but the movie is boring. I lost interest when I figured out that gun battles were the only thing that seems to be happening. My question about the movie became -- when is the nonsense and noise going to stop. I never felt better as I left the dark movie and got out into the silent day light. Spending sometime at a local park after that was a great relief.
I think this is the kind of movie that no one understands but that everyone claims to understand.
All of a sudden everyone is a genius and this is the best movie in the world. I think what they are saying is that -- hay look at me -- I understand this movie and therefore I am a genius as I have always suspected.
This movie incorporated terms from psychology and it is obvious that the writers have studied psychology -- but they purposely payed no attention to scientific accuracy, and in fact seemed to deliberately get every thing about sleep science wrong. I think it is wrong to say that this movie is a sci-fi movie. It was a car crash movie. It was really funny to see the bad guys toting the aluminum brief cases with a red light in the middle. I want one of those.
My experience in seeing this movie has really got me up in arms. I want to seek out people who liked this movie and argue them down.
